In a unexpected collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
